A bit about me.

I'm Rachel, a writer based in London. Right now I'm on a short postgraduate journalism course at the London College of Communication. Before that, I worked as a Press and Publicity Officer at the Nuffield Theatre, which I joined in September 2006 after leaving the University of Warwick with a First Class BA Hons in English and Theatre Studies.

During my time at uni I wrote a lot for Warwick's student newspaper, The Warwick Boar, and worked on its editorial team - first as News Sub Editor, then Deputy Editor. After graduating I continued to write and edit articles on a freelance basis for RSK Group. To download my CV, click here.

I've written poetry and fiction for a long time. Two of the poems on this site (Left Unsaid and The Outside Tap) have been included in student poetry publications, and several of the other pieces were written as part of creative writing courses that I took at Warwick.

Aside from books and writing, my other passion is theatre. As well as studying and and working in the theatre I have always enjoyed acting for fun, with personal highlights being roles in Arthur Miller's The Crucible, David Hare's The Secret Rapture, and Shakespeare's Julius Caesar.

I love to write about my interests, so if you read my work you'll find that a lot of the content relates to arts and media subjects. Feel free to use the 'contact' link if you want to share your own opinions with me, or to send me your comments on anything on this site.

OK, that's the blurb over. Now take a look around.
